    Product Description

    STEINEL LS 150 S in black is an outdoor wall-mounted LED floodlight for a courtyard, driveway or entrance. Its integrated motion sensor switches the light on when movement is detected and ambient brightness is below the selected twilight threshold.

    Neutral white light with an adjustable direction

    1375 lm total light output, 14.7 W total input and 4000 K light provide clear outdoor illumination. The neutral white colour is suited to entrances, garages and utility areas. A ceramic reflector distributes the light, while the robust aluminium head dissipates heat from the LEDs.

    The head swivels 80° horizontally (±40°) and tilts 150° vertically (+110°/−40°), allowing the beam direction to be changed without moving the wall bracket. Aim it to avoid dazzling people or spilling unnecessary light into neighbouring windows.

    The 51° half-intensity beam angle describes the width of the brighter central light beam. It is not the motion sensor’s detection angle.

    Complete-luminaire efficacy is 94 lm/W. CRI 80 describes colour rendering, while SDCM 3 describes initial colour consistency. Declared LED life is more than 36,000 hours (L70B50 at 25°C). This is a light-output maintenance specification under defined test conditions, not the warranty period.

    240° PIR detection with up to 12 m reach

    The passive infrared (PIR) sensor responds to moving heat sources such as people and animals. It covers 240° with a reach of up to 12 m across the detection zone. For direct approach, the manufacturer specifies up to 3.5 m for this black variant. Position the sensor across the usual walking direction. It does not detect movement through glass or walls.

    The sensor swivels 160° horizontally (±80°) so its coverage can be aimed separately. Included shrouds block unwanted sectors such as a pavement or moving shrubs. Sneak-by protection also detects movement beneath the sensor close to the wall. The optimum mounting height is 2 m, with a stated maximum of 4 m.

    Factory settings are 10 seconds and daylight operation (1000 lx). Remove the sensor trim ring to access the controls. After power is applied, the sensor performs a self-test for about one minute. After the light switches off, detection pauses for approximately one second.

    Set the ON time and twilight threshold

    Controls on the fitting set an ON time of 10 seconds to 15 minutes and a twilight threshold of 2–1000 lx. A lower lux setting restricts activation to darker conditions; the daylight setting is useful when testing coverage. Each new detected movement restarts the timer.

    Standby input with the light off is 0.5 W. This is standby consumption, not an additional switching-load rating. There is no Bluetooth, app control, wireless grouping, dimming or basic-light mode. This model does not provide the manufacturer’s 4-hour continuous-light function.

    Wall installation and outdoor protection

    IP44 protects against splashing water and solid objects larger than 1 mm. IK03 specifies mechanical impact resistance. The fitting has an aluminium housing and transparent glass cover, with an ambient operating range of −10…+30°C.

    It is intended for wall mounting on a 220–240 V, 50–60 Hz supply. Corner installation uses the compatible LS 150 S corner bracket 630560, available separately. The corner bracket is not included. This model is not intended for ceiling mounting.

    The current manufacturer datasheet specifies electrical protection class I. A qualified electrician must connect the fitting according to the marking on the actual product and its supplied instructions.

    Integrated LED — no separate bulb to buy

    The STEINEL LED light source and its control gear are integrated and included. Neither the LED light source nor its control gear is designed to be replaced. Do not connect the fitting to an external dimmer. The light-source energy label is class E, 15 kWh/1000 h; EPREL 1002983.

    Dimensions are 176 × 155 × 210 mm (depth × width × height), and manufacturer net weight is 883 g. The package includes the LED luminaire, wall bracket, mounting materials, detection-zone shrouds and instructions. The 3-year manufacturer warranty applies subject to its terms.

    Note on the manufacturer’s technical information

    This card uses the complete-luminaire output of 1375 lm in the current exact-EAN technical table. The separately stated 1486 lm is a 360° measurement and is not used here as complete-luminaire output. The current table states SDCM 3, while the shared manual retains the earlier SDCM 6. Some datasheet drawings show older dimensions; this card and its gallery drawing use dimensions consistent with the current table and manual.

    Clean with a slightly damp cloth without detergents. Adjust the head only after the fitting has cooled.
